At Albuquerque Sports Stadium, the Thunder Bay Black Bears and Albuquerque Cacti were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Albuquerque Cacti trumped the Thunder Bay Black Bears, 10-2, at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. Albuquerque center fielder Bill Pride was terrific. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Mark Tanner, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-4. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 1. James McColl was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 8 save opportunities.

In the bottom of the third, Pride had a bases-clearing double for Albuquerque. It was his 18th double of the season and put the Cacti on top, 3-0.

Said losing manager Qi-chang Ec: "Give the Cacti credit. They played a better game than we did."

The Cacti improved their record to 66-57 with the win over Thunder Bay.
