Pasadena wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher George White, falling to the Joplin Fireballs, 4-3. White threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball for the losing team. The Fireballs, at 57-66, sit in last place in the TML AAA Joe Torre Division.

The Fireballs got a clutch hit from third baseman Edwin Cuevas. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Fireballs.

Cuevas described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
