Led by Carlos Ayala, the Amarillo Armadillos defeated the Reno Raiders, 9-8. Ayala went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the Armadillos. The 6th-place Armadillos have a record of 44-63.

Amarillo took the lead, 9-8, on Danny Sullivan's 11th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Reno pitcher Jonathan Hogle in the bottom of the seventh.
