Both pitching staffs were knocked around at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Still, Fort Worth hurler Brian McLean pitched well enough to help the Cats prevail over the Fairfield Flash, 13-10. Terry Dunne, who is tied for 7th in the RAAA in holds with 6, earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 8-3. The 'W' lifts Fort Worth's record to 55-70.

Brian Ernst drove in one run against the Flash. With the game tied in the top of the 11th inning, he grounded out, driving in 1 run that put Fort Worth in front, 10-9.

Ernst told a Fort Worth Citizen reporter that he felt "like dancing the hula" after the win.
