The Waimea Wind pinned a convincing loss on the State College Swallowtails, 9-2, at The Wind Tunnel. Juan Reyes was a main factor in the win. He was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Waimea. The Wind now have a mark of 66-62.

With Waimea leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Reyes hit a 2-run single off State College hurler Alex Estrada. It was the 119th hit of the season for Reyes and put his team ahead, 5-2.

"We didn't put our best foot forward tonight," said losing manager Afalku Coffie.
