Pilots Absorb 10-6 Home Loss
|
The Bighorn Bison used the hitting of third baseman Chris Crofts to subdue the Jacksonville Pilots, 10-6. For the game, Crofts was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. The winning pitcher was David Franco. He's now 2-1. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits for the Bison. Mike Lake locked down his 8th save.
Bighorn used the clutch hitting of Juan Cevallos to capture the win. The catcher drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Bison the lead, 8-4. For the game, Cevallos had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"I still think this team can play even better," Cevallos told the Bighorn Gazette.
The loss drops Jacksonville to 17-13.
