Stallings Helps Racers Win, 11-8, with Pair of Homers
The Bowling Green Racers stopped the Waimea Wind, 11-8, behind an impressive performance from Cody Stallings. The 21-year old left fielder made life miserable for Waimea pitching. He was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Bowling Green reliever Mike Kratzer was the winner. His record is now 7-3. Vince Erbeck took the loss. The 4th-place Racers sport a record of 57-53.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Racers grabbed the lead when Stallings hit his 7th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Vince Erbeck made it 11-8, Bowling Green.

"We knocked the fire out of the ball," said Bowling Green manager Ron Jeremy. "The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see."
