May Lifts Raiders to 7-6 Win
The Reno Raiders used the hitting of second baseman Pete May to subdue the Madison Muskies, 7-6. For the game, May went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Picking up his 1st save was 25-year old left-handed pitcher Scott Bertram. The win puts the Raiders at 66-62, while the Muskies drop to 55-72.

There was more than one reason the Raiders beat the Muskies, but May's big at-bat in the top of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
