The Joplin Fireballs beat the Reno Raiders, 7-4, in 10 innings at The Firepit. Joplin shortstop Erik Kent led the way. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The loss makes Reno 66-63.

In the bottom of the tenth, with the score tied, Kent hammered a 3-run home run to win it for Joplin.

"Was I getting worried?" said Fireballs manager Daniel Petro. "Nope." Then he added, with a wink, "There was never a doubt in my mind."
