Albuquerque Cacti starter Joe Caudell was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the State College Swallowtails, 5-2. Albuquerque pitcher Josh Hoogewind earned the win, hiking his record to 1-2. Eric Church suffered the loss. Jack Anthony, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2062 draft, nailed down the save.

Ricardo Nieves delivered a big hit for Albuquerque. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cacti ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Albuquerque manager Randy Haynes.

With the win, the Cacti have a record of 60-51.
