Swallowtails Lose at Home, 3-0, to Memphis
|
In a tight contest between the Memphis Privateers and the State College Swallowtails, Brad Helmick was the determining factor. The Memphis left-hander sparkled in his team's 3-0 win. Helmick got the win, improving to 4-2. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. He allowed no runs. Memphis, at 61-68, occupies 4th place in the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division.
Jeff Jessel, who is tied for 5th in the RAAA with a .975 OPS, had a direct impact on the outcome. Jessel contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Memphis up, 1-0.
