Melchor Homers Twice in 11-6 Cowboys Win
Calgary took on Bowling Green in front of a lively crowd.

Calgary center fielder Alberto Melchor played a vital role in his team's 11-6 conquest of Bowling Green. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for Calgary. Ryan Martin was the winner. He's now 4-6. The loser was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Steve Cresci.

With Calgary leading 2-0 in the top of the second, Melchor hit a fastball from Steve Cresci for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Cowboys ahead, 5-0.

"We got the victory," said Melchor. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

Calgary is first in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division with a record of 72-58.
