The Reno Raiders managed to get by the Bowling Green Racers, 4-3, at House of Pain. Reno pitcher Gilles Bousquet set himself apart with his performance. Bousquet yielded 3 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 7-12. Don Townend recorded the save, making him 11 for 16.

Had Fred Sersch not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Sersch hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Raiders.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Bousquet said in reaction to the win.

The win puts Reno at 46-67.
