The Calgary Cowboys racked up a win at The Carrier Dome, bumping off the Tallahassee Captains, 7-3. Garrett Frankel, who started for Calgary, pitched effectively for his team. Alberto Ponce closed out the game, earning his 6th save. The Cowboys lead the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division by a game.

Chris Schwegler, who is tied for 9th in the RAAA in extra base hits with 53, aided the Calgary cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder went 1-4 with a walk.

In postgame remarks, Schwegler said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
