The Peoria Caterpillars had no problem beating the Indianapolis Ambition, 11-2, at Ken Griffey Jr. Plaza. Tony Alvarez led the way. He went 1-1 with 4 walks, while scoring 3 for Peoria. Peoria reliever Sergio Hernandez picked up the win, upping his record to 9-6. Dan Gardner absorbed the loss. The second-place Caterpillars sport a record of 74-60.

In the top of the sixth, Peoria left fielder Jasper Bisson had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Bisson stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 5-2, Peoria. For the game, he went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
