The Calgary Hitmen picked up a win at Albuquerque Sports Stadium, taking down the Albuquerque Cacti, 5-3. Starting pitcher Ricky Sanchez was a big reason why. Calgary is now 66-49, while Albuquerque is 62-53.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Shane Fredrickson? The Calgary right fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Hitmen on top, 3-2. For the game, Fredrickson had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"Ricky pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Calgary manager Brandon Ashley.
