Minneapolis and Tallahassee got after it at The Carrier Dome.

Freeze center fielder Sam Nyholm put his stamp on his team's 13-5 win over the Tallahassee Captains. Nyholm was 1 for 2 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Minneapolis in the contest. Ken Aubin was the winner. He's now 8-5. The loser was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Jonathan Millsap.

Minneapolis used the timely hitting of Kenny Cox to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Freeze on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We lit up the scoreboard," said Minneapolis manager Ben Jeffcoat.

The Freeze sit in first place in the TML AAA Joe Torre Division with a record of 67-49.
