The home crowd had a good time watching the Peoria Caterpillars and Calgary Kodiaks get after it.

Kodiaks left fielder Rick Chapman left his imprint on his team's 8-5 win over the Peoria Caterpillars. Chapman went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times for Calgary in the contest. The winner in relief was Don Krueger. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2.2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. Randy Singer notched his 13th save in 16 chances.

Floyd Barrett, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2058 draft, aided the Calgary cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1 for 1 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Chapman told the Calgary Bulletin.

Calgary is now 62-75.
