Fort Worth turned a good effort from starting pitcher Brady Metro into a win over the Cozumel Beaches at Bar Habor Stadium. The final score was 6-2 in 10 innings. The winner was Fort Worth reliever Terry Dunne, now 11-3. The loser was Pete Findling. Fort Worth, now 62-75, holds down 5th place in the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division.
Bruce Mason came through with a big-time hit for Fort Worth. The third baseman smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 6-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"This ballgame left me feeling kind of raw," said Cozumel manager Masato Takagi.
