The Eagle Rock Ridge Runners defeated the Quebec Armada, 10-6, at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Eagle Rock first baseman Mike Hess had a superb performance. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Picking up the save was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Bobby Ellis. The defeat makes Quebec 12-18.

Eagle Rock needed the clutch hitting of Timothy McAlear to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Ridge Runners on top, 8-6. For the game, McAlear had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Quebec manager Rod Cirilo.
