Anchorage got a first-rate effort from pitcher Aaron Nappi, who frustrated Thunder Bay hitters en route to a 2-1 Moose triumph at Moose's Tooth Field. Nappi picked up the win for Anchorage, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 3-8. Picking up his 18th save was fireballing right-hander Jared Hutson.

The Moose got a big at-bat from first baseman William Stall. For the game, Stall was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 30th home run of the season gave Anchorage a 2-1 lead.

"Both teams played hard," said Anchorage manager .
