Thunder Bay and Waimea got after it at The Wind Tunnel.

Behind the bravura of first baseman Jordan Jones, the Thunder Bay Black Bears topped the Waimea Wind by the score of 11-6. Jones slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Black Bears. John Driscoll earned the win to go to 4-2. He allowed 4 runs on 3 hits, with 3 walks and 2 strikeouts in 7.1 innings of work.

Thunder Bay left fielder Tony Curiel contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 100th hit of the season and put the Black Bears ahead, 5-4.

"We're all smiles after that win," Jones told the Thunder Bay Herald.

The Black Bears, at 78-63, sit in second place in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.
