Ken Griffey Jr. Plaza was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Indianapolis Ambition and Albany Firebirds.

Albany got a valiant performance from pitcher Bill Oestreich, but it wasn't enough to beat the Indianapolis Ambition. Indianapolis won the game, 3-2. Oestreich threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. The winning pitcher was Juan Soria. He's now 6-3. He went 8 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits for the Ambition. Brian Oubre earned his 12th save in 13 chances.

Jose Zuniga helped out the Indianapolis cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a solo home run. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1-1 with a home run.

"Every loss hurts," said Albany manager Garry Rabenek. "But this was a tough one."
