With Late Score, Swallowtails Beat Cacti
The State College Swallowtails, despite a fine performance by Albuquerque pitcher Luther Bonnefoy, grabbed a 3-2 win at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. Bonnefoy allowed no runs over 5 innings. State College is now 62-63. Albuquerque is 67-58.

State College used the timely hitting of Justin Sabin to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Swallowtails on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Albuquerque manager Randy Haynes. "We just didn't cash in."
