Flash 7-2 Winners Over Cozumel
|
The Fairfield Flash converted a terrific effort from starter Santos Machain into a win over the Cozumel Beaches at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Flash won the game by a final score of 7-2. Machain yielded 2 runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-10. Bryan Hendrex earned his 1st save in 1 tries.
In the bottom of the first, Shane Dennis delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Fairfield first baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the Flash in front, 7-2.
