The Astoria Argonauts picked up a win at Cobb Field, defeating the Billings Mustangs, 5-2. Starting pitcher Andy Baer was an essential part of his team's success. The winner was Baer. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Ken Fellows. Sam Scott earned the save for Astoria.

Astoria used a well-timed hit by Ben Waugh to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Argonauts ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"All good teams, all good offenses go through challenging times," said Billings manager Brad Lyons. "This is another one."
