The State College Swallowtails had to overcome a big game from Calgary left fielder Bruce Rivero to leave Mckinley Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-4. Rivero was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Justin Weathersby recorded the save, making him 3 for 4. Today's win puts State College at 64-83, while Calgary falls to 96-51.

It could have been a different outcome for State College, had it not been for Scott Carpenter, the 25-year old third baseman . Carpenter contributed a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put State College up, 6-3.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Carpenter told the State College Times.
