The Minneapolis Freeze pasted the Fairfield Flash with a convincing 11-2 defeat at The Ice Box. Manuel Cuebas was a prime factor in the Minneapolis win. He went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring twice. Tommy Cedrone, the winning pitcher, improved to 6-10. He pitched 9 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Minneapolis is now 61-66, while Fairfield is 67-60.

With Minneapolis leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Cuebas hit a slider from Gary McPherson for a grand slam home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Freeze ahead, 5-0.

"They took it to us," said Fairfield manager Edward Batkin.
