Silvestre Excels, But Wind Win
Bowling Green third baseman Andres Silvestre had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Silvestre was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once, even as Waimea beat the Racers, 9-6. Waimea raised its record to 77-72 with the win.

Cody Ley went 2-2 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Waimea. The 25-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Kelly Bathgate. It was his 24th walk of the season.
