The Madison catcher had a field day in his team's 14-10 triumph over the Albuquerque Cacti, finishing 5-for-5.

"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."

Macias must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Daniel Macias doubled in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Tyshawn McRae in the 6th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.

At the moment, Macias is batting .251 with 8 home runs and 45 RBIs. He has played in 95 games and scored 37 times.
