Win Goes to Toreros in Tight Contest
|
Cabo San Lucas Toreros starter B.J. Bichler pitched a strong game against the Kansas City Tornadoes at Field de Los Layendas, leading the Toreros to victory, 6-3. Andy Carr, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 1.1 innings of relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. With the loss, Kansas City falls to 14-18.
Ft. Collins, Colorado-born Tim Alessio came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Toreros trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single to right to put Cabo San Lucas on top.
Said Cabo San Lucas manager Labib Sarahani: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
