The Memphis Privateers had to overcome a fine effort from Fort Worth pitcher Eric Engel to win, 2-1, at Privateers Grounds. Engel went 8 innings and allowed no runs. Gary Halliwell picked up the win in relief. Terry Dunne took the loss for Fort Worth. Memphis has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.

The decisive blow was delivered by Brady Fisher in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Jake Williams to win the game for Memphis. The home crowd went nuts.

"They were just a little bit better than us," Fort Worth manager Dudha Goli said.
