Calgary Outlasts Swallowtails, Despite McCann Blasts
State College got a terrific game from designated hitter Beau McCann. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Calgary, 10-8. McCann was 3-5 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. At 88-65, the Cowboys find themselves in first place in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.

Had Adam Washington not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Washington hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Cowboys.

"You just play the game as right as you can and see where you end up," said Cowboys manager Thomas Hughes.
