Fine Effort by Pyne Not Enough in 6-5 Ridge Runners Loss
The Kansas City Tornadoes weathered an outstanding game by Eagle Rock first baseman Jon Pyne to topple the Ridge Runners, 6-5. Pyne slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Bobby Milleville closed it out for his 8th save. The Tornadoes improved their record to 15-18 with the win over Eagle Rock.

Vinnie Fasnacht, who finished 5th in the TML in doubles with 33 in 2056, took Eagle Rock hurler Andrew Shackleton deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 2-run home run put the Tornadoes on top, 6-5. In all, Fasnacht had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"We ground out the win," said Fasnacht. "That's all that matters."
