Nick Simmons had a big 2-run double for the Firebirds in the bottom of the second inning. With Albany leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Arend Tarnovius, who is tied for 5th in the TAAA in innings pitched with 162.0, and swatted a double to left. It was his 25th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Firebirds ahead, 3-0.

"I felt like I had pretty good command of mostly everything," said Metro.
