Beaches Drop Hitmen, 7-6, with Late Score

The Cozumel Beaches downed the Calgary Hitmen, 7-6, at Bar Habor Stadium. Reilly Snow led the way, going 2-for-3 for Cozumel. The winner in relief was Scott Eiken. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. The Beaches improved to 69-83.
Cozumel took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 6-6, when Edwardo Herrera hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Beaches in front, 7-6.
"We didn't play well enough to win," Calgary skipper Brandon Ashley said.
