Armadillos Defeat Bumblebees, 10-9
The Amarillo Armadillos defeated the Pasadena Bumblebees, 10-9, at Armadillos Park. James Adkinson, who is tied for 2nd in the TAAA in home runs with 35, was a standout performer for Amarillo. His 6 hits included 4 singles and 2 doubles -- this in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 1 he knocked in. The winner in relief was Ashton Roberge. He is now 4-6. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Amarillo goes to 83-71. The win puts them 4½ games up in their division.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 13th. With no one out, Adkinson hit a fastball from Brock Scott for a run-scoring single. The Armadillos, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It's great when the crowd goes berserk," Adkinson said.
