Eureka and Buffalo duked it out and the Hornets came out victorious.

Buffalo shortstop Mace Kota had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Kota was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs, even as Eureka beat the Bison, 9-6. Matt Acrey closed the door for Eureka, picking up his 10th save of the year.

Mark Bradford chipped in a 2-run home run for Eureka in the top of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.

"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Bradford. "I think we showed that here."
