Pate Leads Amarillo to 14-5 Win with 3 Jacks
The Amarillo Armadillos defeated the Pasadena Bumblebees, 14-5, in part because of first baseman Tyler Pate. Pate hit 3 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring three times for the Armadillos. Amarillo improves to 84-71 with the win. They lead their division by 4½ games.

Chris Lacenaire had a big 2-run home run for the Armadillos in the bottom of the second inning. With Amarillo trailing 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a sinker from Jim Rankin and swatted a home run to left. It was his 26th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Armadillos ahead, 2-1.

"You just play the game as right as you can and see where you end up," said Armadillos manager Tyler Bulman.
