The West Island Jazz powered past the Mexico City Luchadores, 8-7, at Stade Claude Raymond. Dave Ojeda provided some of the pop. Gold Key went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. West Island raised its record to 20-13 with the win.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Ojeda hit a fastball from Cody Paskert for a solo home run. The Jazz, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said West Island manager Pedro Gonzáles.
