It was a sensational day at the plate for David Jankowski as he led the charge to a nifty 12-9 win over the Beaches. The Calgary right fielder was pure misery for the Cozumel pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.

"Jankowski put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Masato Takagi, manager for the Beaches, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

David Jankowski doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and walked in the 8th.

Thus far this year, Jankowski is hitting .332 with 21 home runs, 78 RBIs and 60 runs scored.
