Antioch Beats Astoria, Goes to 96-62
|
Francisco Santiago was terrific for the Antioch Coal Miners in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Astoria Argonauts. His performance earned Santiago rave reviews. Paul Cummins picked up the save, his 24th. Antioch now owns a record of 96-62.
Kyle Higgins, who is tied for 3rd in the TAAA in hits with 188, helped out the Antioch cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the third baseman drew 2 walks in 4 plate appearances.
"I made a lot of good pitches," said Santiago. "I was right where I wanted to be."
