Skidding Flash Lose 6th Straight
|
The Bowling Green Racers beat the Fairfield Flash, 8-6, at Top of the Hill. Russell Lee, who is tied for 7th in the RAAA with a .556 slugging percentage, starred for Bowling Green. He was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The last-place Flash have lost 6 straight games.
Had Jason Hansen not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Hansen hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Racers.
