|
Buffalo third baseman Josh Bye played a vital role in his team's 11-6 conquest of Seattle. He was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2 for Buffalo. The winner was D.J. Handrahan in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jeff Lombardi took the loss. The Bison are now 15-19, while the Sasquatch fall to 15-20.
Right Fielder Jonathan Schimmel made an impact for Buffalo, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Andy Mitchell in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Schimmel went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Schimmel.
