Eagle Rock Ridge Runners starter Andrew Shackleton was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Montreal Mounties, 6-1. Eagle Rock is now 24-12, Montreal 24-12.

Dustin Keener had a big 2-run double for the Ridge Runners in the top of the sixth inning. With Eagle Rock leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from Greg Spivey, who is tied for 8th in the RCL in innings pitched with 55.1, and swatted a double to center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ridge Runners ahead, 4-0.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Shackleton. "Successful pitchers do it."
