The exploits of designated hitter Fidel Martinez, who is tied for 2nd in the TML in RBI with 35, helped the Quebec Armada defeat the El Paso Mavericks, 5-2. Martinez was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Nick Cockrell picked up the win in relief for Quebec, while Ashton Roberge took the loss. The loss puts El Paso at 18-13.

Martinez had a timely hit for Quebec in the bottom of the sixth. With Quebec trailing 2-1, he turned a 2-2 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season, making it 4-2, Quebec.

"Just trying to help my team," said Martinez. "That's all I want."
