Walnut Creek first baseman Kevin McArdle was instrumental in helping the Warriors triumph, 5-3, over the Milwaukee Millers. McArdle went 2-4 with 2 home runs. The win makes Walnut Creek 25-12.

Walnut Creek took a 5-3 lead on Bobby Harper's 7th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Harper hit in the top of the eighth, left Milwaukee pitcher Doug Decker visibly frustrated.

"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Warriors manager Armando Medina.
