Salstrom Lifts Earthquakes to 8-4 Triumph
A good performance from first baseman Dusty Salstrom helped the San Francisco Earthquakes defeat the Manhattan Slice, 8-4. Salstrom went 2-2 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Earthquakes. Ryan White, 1-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Josh Christie earned the save for San Francisco, his 9th of the year.

Early in the game, Salstrom had a 3-run home run for San Francisco. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Earthquakes on top, 3-0.

"If it's down the middle," said Salstrom, "you might as well hit it."

San Francisco goes to 16-17, Manhattan to 11-21.
