Vic Petley made an impact in the 10-5 Bighorn win over Vancouver. Petley, who is tied for 5th in the RCL in home runs with 8, went 2 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Zach Phillips, now 5-0, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. The win puts Bighorn at 13-21.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Danny Douglass came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Vancouver pitcher Willie Arredondo, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Bighorn on top, 6-5.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Bison manager Carlos Esparza. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
