The Chicago Eclipse beat the Eureka Hornets, 3-1, at Millennium Field. Starting pitcher Brendan Tucker was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Joe Umlah finished to wrap up his 14th save. Chicago goes to 21-18, Eureka to 22-16.

Had Mark Bradford delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Bradford struck out. The score remained 3-1, Chicago, and the Eclipse were out of the jam.
