Marauders Nipped, 6-2, by Seattle
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Seattle Sasquatch and Maple Marauders.
The Seattle Sasquatch defeated the Maple Marauders, 6-2, in Thurman Munson League action at Magnificent Marauders Mansion. Jonathan Lagunas pulled his weight. The 8-year veteran was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Rick Rielly got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 8 innings.
Ryan Catalano came through with a big-time hit for Seattle. The catcher smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Lagunas said after the game.
The loss puts Maple at 1-3.
